What you’ll do,
Economic Crime Prevention platform delivers insightful, transformational projects that focus on shaping the future of sales and service delivery. It also supports Personal Banking System which is a mission critical customer facing system within branches, improving the customer experience through digitization.
As a Senior Software Engineer within the Economic Crime Prevention Platform and the Data Lab, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining the server-side of web applications, ensuring their functionality and seamless integration with the front-end. Few other responsibilities include:
- Design and develop high-quality, scalable, and secure Java applications for banking systems, ensuring compliance with industry standards and best practices.
- Work on the full software development lifecycle, including requirement analysis, design, implementation, testing, and deployment.
- Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to ensure code quality and adherence to coding standards.
- Optimize application performance and troubleshoot production issues to maintain a reliable and efficient banking platform.
- Collaborate with the DevOps team to ensure seamless integration and deployment of Java applications in the banking environment.
- Implement security measures and best practices to safeguard sensitive financial data and customer information.
What you’ll need
- Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in engineering.
- Proficient in Java development, core Java concepts, design patterns and Web services Rest / SOAP.
- Strong experience in using Java frameworks such as Spring, Hibernate, or similar technologies.
- Hands on experience in Reacts, MongoDB, Jenkins, Git hub, Splunk and confluence.
- Expertise in Microservices architecture.
- Good experience in relational databases and experience in writing optimized SQL queries.
Nice-to-Have Skills:
- Experience in front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and modern frameworks/libraries would be added advantage.
- Exposure in AIX, ITIL Process, Infrastructure operating system.
- Knowledge of Agile methodologies and experience working in Agile/Scrum teams.
- Ability in problem-solving skills and the ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
