- Partner with cross-functional teams to provide strategic, business-oriented legal advice on a full range of employment issues.
- Draft, revise, and advise on employment-related documents, including offer letters, separation agreements, confidentiality agreements, variable compensation plans, bonus plans, etc.
- Collaborate with relevant internal teams to create and implement scalable employment-related policies, processes, and training to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
- Provide support on employment-related investigations and disputes.
- Effectively utilize and manage external counsel.
- Monitor employment-related legal developments in APAC.
- 6+ years of experience as an employment attorney, in a top-tier law firm and/or in-house legal department of a multi-national company supporting business needs across a number of APAC countries.
- Outstanding legal and business judgment with the ability to assess and communicate risks to stakeholders in a clear and actionable way.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain legal concepts in a way that makes it comprehensible to the general employee population.
- Experience and aptitude in working with cross-functional stakeholders to resolve questions and concerns in a timely manner.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with a dedication to teamwork, respect, and integrity.
- Demonstrated ability to independently manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic, and ambiguous environment.
- License to practice as a legal practitioner in India.
