The Business Unit Business Technology Services is a special unit compared to other BU’s in msg global because we are domain and technology agnostic, catering to all industry and technology areas. The BTS Unit is looking for colleagues who want to successfully shape our clients' future in the digital age. We provide consulting, development, and application maintenance services for the EMEA and NA regions in technologies like the Java ecosystem, C++, Mobility solution, SAP Core, Testing Services, and Agile & DevOps for various industries. Our international team of experts is shaping the future of IT services.
What will you do
- Take over responsibility for the delivery of the agreed artifacts, incident, and problem management (keyword: one for all, all for one!) with your team.
- Learn and know the big picture and the vision
- Solve (content-related) problems alone or with your team, when necessary
- Independently decides on the breakdown of requirements into tasks and their distribution to individual members.
- Deliver a potentially deliverable product increment as early as possible and regularly present it to the Product Owner and stakeholders.
- Actively participate in the Scrum ceremonies and other workshops
- Contribute to the definition, detailing, and prioritization of the product backlog items
- Checks for each product backlog entry whether the definition of ready has been met
- Ensures the quality of the results agreed upon in the project (e.g. checks whether the definition of done is fulfilled)
- Undergo regular training to continue to meet the requirements.
- Actively participates in the continuous improvement process at team and project level
What experience / skills / knowledge you should have
- Experience with working with the following main programming languages, technologies, frameworks, and tools:
- Java 11
- Junit Mocking
- REST API
- PL SQL, DB2, Liquibase
- JPA / Hibernate,
- JMS & Queues
- Maven
- Git
- Swagger
- Jenkins
- Docker
- Kubernetes
- Sonar
- Helm, Quarkus, Opensearch, Grafana – nice to have
- Bachelor’s degree (preferably in finance, accounting, computer science, or business analytics) or other equivalent experience
- Proactivity and living the Scrum Values
- Attention to clean code principles
- Project involvement through all phases (end to end)
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication along with strong client relationship skills (assertiveness and feedback belong here)
- Excellent time-management skills
- Strong analytical mindset, structured and problem-solving skills
- Fluent in English (oral and in writing)
Nice to have
- Automotive industry experience of advantage
- Cross-functional expertise with front-end technologies is also a strength
- Understanding of the technology and how it affects clients' area of the business, trends associated with the technology, value propositions for clients
- Certifications for the described technologies are welcomed
