Your key responsibilities:
- Understanding customer’s requirement / goal and engineering the most appropriate (feasible, simplest and most economic) modernization solution to meet the requirement / goal. If necessary, suggest alternative solution/s within given budget as far as possible.
- Evaluates electrical systems, products, components, and applications by applying designing knowledge of electrics and materials.
- Close co-ordination with cross functional teams (Product Management, Offer Engineering, Electrical Order Engineering, Manufacturing, sourcing, service etc.) as and when required.
- Support to Offer Engineering at offer stage for providing appropriate solutions for complex cases.
- Studying Sales data or inputs received from Project team thoroughly.
- Attending Project KOM and discuss all unclear points to be clarified.
- Should be able to carry out electrical engineering aspects yourself such as Motor calculation, Inverter selection, switchgear selection, cables and other electrical engineering calculations.
- Detail Engineering (detailed electrical drawings, Panel GA, technical specifications for bought out items, Multi-level Bill of materials for material procurement, Drive parameterization, site execution plan)
- Support order execution as and when required.
- Travel to factory and sites whenever necessary.
- Co-ordination with Site team while they face issues in installation and commissioning and resolving the same.
- Always Maintain and align with the company’s brand value, ethics & code of conduct
- Take active participation in technical discussions, Standardization projects, Innovations (ensure submission of minimum number of ideas as per target)
- Must Be familiar with design software’s, such as E-plan, Zuken E3-CAD, AutoCAD, SAP, Team center.
- Awareness of ISO 14001 & 45001 Standards.
Technical Competencies and Skills Required:
- Technical Knowledge and expertise on Electrical design of Industrial cranes (preferably EOT cranes)
- Solution Conceptualizing skill for various applications
- Knowledge in E-plan, Zuken E3 CAD, Auto CAD software
- Knowledge of ABB, Siemens inverter selection & parametrization
- Knowledge of Siemens PLC is an added advantage.
- Product Documentation system (Team centre)
- Basic knowledge of SAP
- Excellent in Microsoft tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Knowledge of Konecranes Global products (Preferable in case of internal resource)
What we expect from you:
- Good Technical background with Professional Work experience: 8-13 yrs.
- Strong technical understanding, in particular understanding of technical drawings of EOT crane.
- Industrial Products/ Heavy Machinery
- Excellent written and spoken English.
- Ability to work and communicate effectively with a globally distributed team.
- Familiar with crane standards FEM, EN, IS3177 ,IS4177 etc.
- Customer focused with a drive for excellent customer satisfaction.
- Awareness of ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System
- Readiness for domestic and foreign travel

- Quality of deliverables (in terms of conversion of an offered solution into a thoroughly engineered solution)
- Punctuality - Timeliness of deliverables (in terms of dates agreed with Project team)
- Lead time (Efficiency)
