We have an opening for a Senior Data Engineer for Autodesk Enterprise Data Platform and Data Virtualization applications hosted in the cloud. Responsibilities

• Provide Level 2 Incident Management support for Finance Applications, including applications hosted in public and private clouds, to meet business service levels.

  
  

• Provide technical expertise in discussions with internal stakeholders during blueprint requirements gathering, solution/design sign-off, the demo of the configured solution, and final UAT sign-off for any project.

  
  

• Take ownership of critical issues, enlist proper representation from other support teams and drive towards resolution.

  
  

• Act as a single point of contact with our vendors to resolve functionality and performance issues.

  
  

• Solve problems occurring with our production systems and build solutions and automation to prevent them from happening again.

  
  

• Work with integration tools and reporting tools to ensure the correct system-to-system communication.

  
  

• Strong troubleshooting skills and technical knowledge, strong understanding of application frameworks and infrastructure, and comfortable navigating multiple systems and reading code.

  
  

• Take part in establishing team vision, mission, yearly operations goals, and tactical plans in alignment with key business areas, IT and the organization

  
  

• Drive cost optimization by identifying opportunities to leverage solutions cross-functionally across business areas and generate economies of scale

  
  

• Prepare and maintain functional specifications, configuration documents, test plans and other documentation as per validation requirements.

  
  

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years of experience as a data architect, data scientist, or Data Engineer.

  
  

• Fluency in at least one programming language such as (e.g., Python, Java Spring Boot, .Net, etc.) with strong AWS skills.

  
  

• Deep knowledge of software applications and technical processes with emerging depth in one or more technical disciplines 

  
  

• Working experience in SnowFlake and DBT.

  
  

• Knowledge of big data technologies, such as Hadoop, Spark, Hive, HBase, etc., will be an added advantage.

  
  

• Working experience in the development/support of SAP HANA, HANA EDW, Business Intelligence reporting (SAP Business Objects and Microsoft Power BI preferred), and Matillion/ Informatica.

  
  

• Familiarity with data mining, data science, or machine learning. A bonus is given to proficiency in modern machine learning theories and applications, such as deep neural nets, transfer/multi-task learning, reinforcement learning, time series, or graph unsupervised learning.

  
  

• Expert knowledge of SQL tools and languages.

  
  

• Strong skills in databases, data warehouses, and data processing.

  
  

• Strong troubleshooting skills, experience analyzing trace dumps and deducing what to optimize to speed up queries and processes.

  
  

• Strong team player and ability to learn quickly

  
  

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage tight deadlines

  
  

• Enjoys problem-solving and working through ambiguous scenarios.
