Senior Business Analyst for OCIOThis role has been designed as ‘Hybrid’ with an expectation that you will work on average 2-3 days per week from an HPE office.

What you’ll do:


Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain trusted partner relationships with key stakeholders across the organization to understand their business priorities and technology requirements. 
  • Oversee the financial performance of Global IT including the collection and review of financial forecasts (CapEx, OpEx, depreciation), the tracking of actual costs against committed spend, and ensuring accurate data is entered and reported in our system of record (Anaplan)
  • Oversee the forecasting and tracking of Global IT resources across both operational and project tasks to accurately reflect capacity and costs for the organization.  This includes the ability to understand activities performed in support of critical projects and our ability to capitalize these costs.
  • Create monthly reports and conduct monthly leadership reviews on the financial and resource management performance for the given month or quarter.
  • Continuously improve processes, tools, and methodologies related to Financial & Resource management to drive efficiency and effectiveness.

  • Strategic Thinking: Ability to align IT resources, budgets, and investments with the organization's strategic goals, identify areas for improvement, and make data-driven decisions including trade-offs between projects.
  • Analytical and Problem Solving Skills: Ability to analyze complex data, identify trends, and make informed decisions based on data-driven insights.
  • Leadership Skills: Ability to lead and motivate teams, provide direction, and inspire others to achieve common goals.
  • Business Acumen: Understanding of the business operations, products, and services of the organization and how IT investments can support their overall business objectives.
  • Technical Knowledge: Understanding of IT systems, platforms, and tools used in the organization and the ability to make informed decisions based on technical considerations.
  • Time Management and Organizational Skills: Ability to manage multiple priorities, work under pressure, and meet deadlines.
  • Adaptability: Ability to adapt to changing priorities, business needs, and technological advancements.
  • Strong relationship management skills, including partnering and consulting.
  • Developed leadership skills, including team-building, conflict resolution, and management.

What you need to bring:


Education and Experience Required:
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or related field
  • At least 6-10 years of experience in financial management
  • Strong financial management and analysis skills
  • Data analytical skills to determine budget & resource utilization, change control and forecast/spend governance activities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously
