Senior Accounts Manager
Overview:
As a Senior Accounts Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the accounting department, including financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and analysis. You will lead a team of accountants and ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations. The role requires strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and a deep understanding of financial principles and practices.
Responsibilities:
- Financial Reporting:
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- Ensure accuracy and completeness of financial statements in accordance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
- Present financial reports to senior management and stakeholders.
- Budgeting and Forecasting:
- Develop annual budgets and long-term financial forecasts.
- Monitor budget performance and provide variance analysis.
- Adjust forecasts based on changes in business conditions and financial performance.
- Financial Analysis:
- Conduct financial analysis to support strategic decision-making.
- Identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
- Provide recommendations to improve financial performance and efficiency.
- Team Leadership:
- Supervise and mentor a team of accountants.
- Assign tasks, set goals, and provide feedback on performance.
- Foster a collaborative and supportive work environment.
- Compliance and Risk Management:
- Ensure compliance with accounting regulations and standards.
- Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard assets and mitigate risks.
- Coordinate with external auditors during annual audits.
- Process Improvement:
- Streamline accounting processes to increase efficiency and accuracy.
- Identify areas for automation and implement new tools or systems as needed.
- Continuously evaluate and improve financial procedures and policies.
- Relationship Management:
- Collaborate with other departments, such as finance, operations, and sales, to achieve organizational goals.
- Build and maintain relationships with external stakeholders, including banks, auditors, and regulatory authorities.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA preferred.
- 4+ years of progressive experience in accounting or finance roles, with at least 2 years in a supervisory capacity.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting requirements.
- Proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel; experience with ERP systems preferred.
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
