Role:
- Testing & evaluation of power-train (engine, transmission, motor) for NVH performance.
- Root cause analysis for solving the NVH problems.
- Identification of countermeasures to achieve NVH target levels.
Responsibility:
- NVH level target setting for powertrain-train (Engine, Transmission, Differential, Motor etc) on Vehicle level & power-train bench level.
- NVH evaluation of powertrain and the achievement of defined targets.
- Execution of advance projects and studies for NVH improvement on source.
- Experimental Noise, Vibration and Aero-acoustic investigations (for example: Modal Analysis, Transfer Path Analysis, Sound Quality Analysis ...).
- Summarization of findings along with objective evaluation of counter-measure effectiveness.
- Tracking the trend of future powertrain technology, Customer acceptance for the in-cabin noise generated from powertrain.
- Conduct customer preference studies and correlate results to objective metrics.
- Interface regularly with Market Quality, New development quality and Engineering Design Departments.
Technical Competencies:
- Relevant work experience in Vehicle / Engine /Transmission / Electrical systems.
- Basic know-how of NVH characteristics of Engine / Transmission / Motor parts and sub-systems.
- Understanding of new model/unit design & development.
- Valid Driving License and satisfactory driving record.
- Subjective NV evaluation and noise phenomenon feeling skills.
- Ability to work well in a collaborative team environment as well as be self-motivated for independent work.
- Flexibility in handling multiple projects and changing priorities.
Educational Qualification and Work Experience:
- Diploma/B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical/Automobile/Production/Electrical Engineering.
- Minimum 60% marks through out education
- 4-13 years of relevant experience
