Job description

If you’re an experienced Scrum Master with strong technical skills who is ready to lead large scale projects including managing stakeholder relationships, conducting analysis and presenting results, this could be the right job for you.
Thomson Reuters is seeking a Scrum Master for our technology product engineering team

About Role :

  • Guide and coach the Scrum Team on how to use Agile practices and principles to deliver high quality products and services to our customers.

  • Get team to a high performing level by recognizing areas of strength and improvement and employing appropriate coaching and development techniques.

  • Responsible for ensuring Scrum is understood and the team adheres to Scrum theory, practice, and guidelines.

  • Coach the Scrum team in self-organization, cross-functional skillset, domain knowledge and communicates effectively, both internally and externally working within the Scrum team.

  • Work with Scrum Team, as well as internal and external stakeholders, to influence and drive decision making and support organizational project or product teams.

  • Resolve team impediments with other Scrum Masters to increase the effectiveness of the application of Scrum in the organization.

  • Contribute to the advancement and improvement of Agile practices within the organization.

  • Facilitate and support all scrum events: Sprint Planning, Daily Scrum, Sprint Review, and Sprint Retrospective.

  • Act as a leader who coaches and supports Agile teams assigned to mainly Business as Usual (BAU) work and to a lesser degree, important department initiatives and applicable portions of corporate projects and initiatives.


About You :

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Scrum Master.

  • Strong knowledge of Agile Scrum principles and practices.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

  • Ability to lead and facilitate Scrum ceremonies.

  • Preferred skills and qualifications General conceptual understanding of programming and DB querying.

  • Certification in Agile methodologies, like Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or Professional Scrum Master (PSM).

  • SAFe certification and Kanban certification are a plus.

  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

  • Prior knowledge of Agile project management tools, such as Azure DevOps, Jira or Trello.
