Supply Chain Planner
Location – Thane City
You will be an integral part of our Customer Operations and SCM team.
Job summaryYou will be responsible for maintaining optimal finished goods inventory levels relate to management's target goals, vendor lead times, warehouse capacity, and Technical Marketing information. You will interact with the Professional Services for equipment & Consumables shipped as well as with
the vendors to ensure timely and accurate delivery. You will also be pro-active in resolving vendor deliveries of complex equipment configurations to the warehouses. You will interact with the Marketing team to implement replacement products in the Supply Chain when the previous version is discontinued by the vendor. You will also liaison with the Accounts Payable and the vendors when discrepancies between the planner's purchase order and the vendor's invoice arise.
Main responsibilities:
- Ensure required material availability while minimizing inventory levels.
- Material Related Planning for procurement of Equipment, consumables & accessories
- Ensure effective material transition to minimize obsolescence.
- Resolve vendor related issues with respect to delivery time or material substitutions.
- Resolve discrepancies/questions with Warehouse related to received material.
- Assisting in determining material obsolescence.
- Develops, implements, and monitors procurement activities required for the timely and efficient inventory (AGFA NV & Local third Party)
- planning of incoming and distribution of products.
- Identifies opportunities for optimization in procurement costs & cost effective products
- Monitors performance of Vendors (approx. 10 regular vendors)
- Monitoring Service complaints & following up to resolve them in minimum time.
- Coordinating and optimizing the product-forecasting, the supply-flows (from MO to SO), the inventory-planning, the replenishment and the distribution-flows (from SO to Customers) to meet business needs and cost-targets
- Continuous balancing of service level, inventory and operational costs.
- Co-ordination with Headquarters & Local Vendors.
Profile
- Graduate with MBA / Diploma preferred in Logistics Management, Supply Chain Management or Business Management
- 5+ years of progressive experience in supply chain management in a Trading environment
- Inventory management, Procurement and planning experience
- Proficiency in Systems: SAP MM module & Microsoft platforms
- Candidate must have demonstrated a high degree of planning, organizational, analytical, and financial skills and be able to partner and communicate with all levels of an organization from warehousing staff to the senior management
- Experience in just-in-time and/or forecast planning, customer relations or other business related activities is a plus
