Job description

The Reliability Engineering Manager is the site lead for all Engineering matters within a building. They are responsible for leading their team and building a culture of safety; for ensuring all statutory compliance requirements are followed to provide a safe working environment for all occupants of the building; for providing a high level of equipment availability to the General Manager and for working with the India Engineering team to plan for future growth. They are also required to take part in network wide improvement initiatives and to implement standards created elsewhere in the network.
Key job responsibilities
Create a culture of continuous improvement at FC and inspire best practices by writing guidelines, providing feedback, solutions, applying innovative metrics and measurements, planning DOEs, and benchmarking the state of the art in comparable industries, technologies and companies.
Plan prevention maintenance of all automation equipment and ensure highest up time.
Manage whole o amazon ware house control system and other conveying system at large FC.
Lead the team, own the annual reporting responsibilities for the team and mentor their direct reports who in turn develop the technicians within the team.
Work with the site Safety department & Site Leadership to implement, record and audit safety and statutory compliance programmes to provide a safe working environment for all staff. Own the legal responsibilities as the site engineering lead within this framework.
Analyze failures from field, production and qualification tests providing improvement suggestions, based on the failure mechanisms and root causes, to Develop Engineering, Manufacturers and Customer Support.
Implement standards validated by the India Engineering team and participate in continuous improvement initiatives to create or update standards as required in order to provide high levels of safety and equipment availability to our internal customers. A key focus is on preventative maintenance program.
Maintain equipment failure contingency plans, drive rehearsals with affected parts and be prepared to work in a flexible manner to ensure failures or breakdowns are rectified as quickly as possible.
Maintain a long term focus by working with Site Management, Finance, the India Engineering team and internal design teams to plan for future growth, upgrades or new equipment roll outs.
A day in the life
Start a day with timely reporting at site, pre shift start audit and ensuring building and MHEs are ready for operation. Attending bin gemba, DDD meet and Process Gemba along with site readiness for leadership gemba.
Ensuring Near misses punch, KSR/FSI audit and report closer in APM.
About the team
RME - Reliability, maintenance and Engineering team is lead by Country Manager and supported by Regional managers and BU managers. This is divers team and mainly responsible for below type of activities -
1- Building facilities upkeep,
2- FC MHEs sorter, conveying system operation and Maintenance.
3- Utility equipment i.e Power, HVAC operation and Maintenance.
We are open to hiring candidates to work out of one of the following locations:
Chennai, TN, IND
- Knowledge of Computerized Maintenance Management System programs
- Work a flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays
- Experience with computers, including MS Excel, Word and Office
- Bachelor's degree
- 5+ years of Reliability Program Manager or equivalent experience
- 5+ years of team management, budget responsibilities, supplier management, problem solving, and client/ customer relations experience
- Experience with preventive maintenance procedures, industrial electrical, industrial controls, and industrial electronics & robotics
