Job Description
What you’ll be doing
The manager will play a vital role in overseeing cross-functional resources for Experian’s MCE technology group that includes engineers, developers, QA specialists, and service desk technicians. The ideal candidate will directly oversee employees of varying skill types and levels while being the core liaison between the India and US-based management teams. This role requires a candidate that operates at a fast pace, is comfortable with change, is detail-oriented, drives for results, and has a high standard for quality.
Responsibilities Include
- Manage a high-performing, effective and successful cross-functional technology team
- Properly decipher business and technical requirements to allow assignment to the proper resources
- Partner directly with US-based peers in creating day-to-day tasks aligned to each functional area scope of work, as well as creation of long-term strategic initiatives
- Operate partially within US Eastern time zone to ensure appropriate alignment and coordination with the US-based teams
- Provide guidance and support to all team members, ensuring that best practices are followed according to all areas of functional responsibility
- Develop and implement new approaches to support efficient and timely delivery
- Proactively drive continuous improvement initiatives
- Manage team performance and development while establishing and promoting a solid team culture
- Drive increased engagement through regular, transparent feedback using appropriate reward and recognition
Qualifications
Qualifications and Experience Required:
- 3+ years of experience as people leader with established track record of successful day-to-day performance in a cross-functional setting, including management of engineer-level employees constructing code
- 2+ years of proven experience using a modern development language (Java, JavaScript, C#, or other similar language)
- A proactive self-starter able to take on technical scenarios and find solutions through the team
- Strong experience delivering both engineering and service desk level output with a demonstrated knowledge across many types of technologies
- Has strong communication skills (verbal and written) and a solid understanding of the use of different channels and formats for a diverse mix of audiences
- Experience working with diverse teams using multiple technologies to enable a digitally connected group
- Organized and identifies priorities to properly delegates tasks
- Experience navigating a complex landscape of technologies, 3rd-party suppliers, and internal/cross-department teams
