The RoleToday, AIF is at an inflection point, seeking to expand its presence across India through a Decentralization and Reorganization of its India Operations. Currently, AIF employs 1700+ people in 36 states & union territories across management, administration, and field operations. The Trust raises about USD 20 million, which is to be scaled upto double in the next five years.
Given its ambitions, AIF is now looking to onboard a passionate, talented, and energetic Regional Director to lead their highly experienced and qualified programs in the region (One each in North, West, South, East). As a member of the Senior Management Team (SMT), the Regional Director will contribute to developing and executing AIF’s strategy in the region. They will lead & manage AIF’s operations in the region– program execution, fundraising, financial and people management, procurements and related policies, government relations and other stakeholdermanagement.
This position represents AIF in the region and will serve as the representative of the Region at AIF. They will lead AIF’s Regional Teams (across Projects, Finance, Administration, HR, Procurements), work closely with NationalTechnical Directors, National Directors of Functions and will report to AIF’s Deputy Country Director (Programs).
The incumbent must hold specific prior experience of leading & managing large-scale, complex, and multi- stateprojects, P&L for the region, large multi-state teams, portfolio of donors and government partners.The incumbent will be based at the Regional Office ( Lucknow / Bangalore / Bhubaneshwar / Mumbai ) in India andthey will be required to frequently travel to locations across India.

Key Skills and Experience· Prior experience of managing multi-sector, multi-million-dollar programs (minimum $3million) in thesocial sector.
· 15+ years of prior relevant work experience with at least 5 years in a leadership role.· Strong knowledge and understanding of the social and development issues in India, particularly within the region of operation.· Prior experience at managing large, multi-state projects.· Prior experience of working within India’s development/ social-sector with proven experience in programmingand timely implementation at the ground level.· Demonstrated ability to build and maintain effective partnerships with diverse stakeholders, includinggovernment agencies, donors, and community leaders.· Proven Fundraising experience from a range of diversified donors including CSR, Foundations and HNIs.· Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to represent the organizationeffectively to various audiences with demonstrated ability in negotiations and networking.· Proven ability to successfully supervise a geographically widespread team and work closely in coordinationwith other cross functional teams to deliver projects on-time.· Ability to manage complex financial control and management systems.
Key Qualifications and Personal attributes:· A Master’s degree preferably in Development / Policy / Management / equivalent. The higher degree ispreferred but can be relaxed for candidates with exceptional track record.· High integrity & ethical conduct.
