The India Payments Tech in Bangalore is responsible to build product and technology solutions to build great payments products and experiences using various technologies to solve complex problems related to distributed systems, scalable architecture, machine learning, and algorithms.
To meet these challenges, we are looking for a high-energy, talented Quality Assurance engineer. You will work with multiple development teams and stakeholders in India and worldwide, to drive test strategy and implementation. A successful candidate will have a strong technical ability, excellent project management skills, great communication skills, and a motivation to achieve results in a fast-paced environment. Prior experience with Payment technology testing is a strong plus. The person chosen for this position will have the opportunity to contribute their creative ideas and energy to new, complex and business critical products.
Key job responsibilities
1. Ability to dive deep and work with tech/business leaders to understand the software requirements and devise test strategy and build comprehensive customer backwards test-cases
2. Build automated test-cases for UI and back-end applications across a variety of architectures and platforms
3. Test systems at the user level, both manually and with automated tools
4. Grey box testers rather than black-box testers, able to understand software internals, debug problems using logs, and build tools/scripts to measure test-case coverage
5. Focus on improving release velocity through Full CD pipelines
6. Work with business stakeholders, designers and customer service teams to understand customer usage models and develop non-functional test plans which suites that approximate real-world environments.
7. Help drive the software development process towards quality-centric methodologies, always seeking to avoid defects or find them at the earliest stage possible.
A day in the life
You will work with Product, TPM and Development team to understand the requirements, tech design and implementation and execute (automated) test-cases across stages to catch bugs early in the cycle and deploy quality products for our customers.

- 5+ years of Quality Assurance engineering experience
- Experience in manual testing
- Experience in automation testing
- Experience scripting or coding
- Experience as QA lead on medium to large sized projects
- Bachelor's degree
- Experience with at least one automated test framework like Selenium or Appium
- Experience in gathering test requirements to create detailed test plans and defining quality metrics to measure product quality
- Proven experience defining and pioneering an effective Quality Assurance process and driving QA initiatives.
