Roles and responsibility - The Mobile App Automation Tester is responsible for developing, executing, and maintaining automation frameworks for mobile applications. Working closely with developers and other QA team members, this role contributes significantly to extending automation coverage and enhancing procedures and frameworks for efficient and effective testing processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Designing, developing, and maintaining automation frameworks for mobile app testing.
- Writing, executing, and updating automated test scripts to ensure robust testing coverage.
- Collaborating with the development and QA teams to identify areas for automation.
- Participating in product development meetings to provide input on testability and automation potential.
- Continuously evaluating and enhancing existing automation strategies and frameworks.
- Integrating automation scripts with continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
- Analysing test results, identifying issues and trends, and reporting them to the relevant teams.
- Contributing to the improvement of testing procedures, tools, and methodologies.
- Staying updated with the latest trends in automation testing and mobile technologies.
- Providing training and support to other team members on automation tools and techniques.
Job Responsibilities
- Proven experience as a Mobile App Automation Tester or similar role (3-5 Years)
- strong Knowledge of automation frameworks such as Appium, Selenium, or similar.
- familiarity with programming languages such as Java, Python, or similar for test script development.
- Understanding CI/CD pipelines and how automation testing integrates within them.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- A passion for continuous learning and staying updated with the latest trends in mobile technologies and automation testing.
