Job Description: We are seeking an experienced Purchasing Manager to join our dynamic team in the hotel industry. As a Purchasing Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the procurement of goods and services essential for our daily operations. Your primary goal will be to ensure cost-effective purchasing while maintaining high-quality standards.
Responsibilities:
1. Daily coordination with stores and the receiving section, ensuring the verification of functional details.
2. Coordinate out-station purchases and identify new suppliers and vendors.
3. Collect market information daily to stay informed about industry trends.
4. Record maintenance of parties' quotations, brochures, etc.
5. Prepare rate comparative statements as needed.
6. Record and maintain vendors/suppliers' contact details.
7. Prepare purchase orders based on departmental indents, ensuring management approval for valuable items/materials.
8. Follow up with vendors and suppliers until order receipt, and check and verify all bills against purchase orders.
9. Handle emergency material requirements efficiently.
Reporting Structure: 1. Operationally report to Manager Purchase.
2. Functionally report to Stores Manager.
Requirements:
1. Minimum of 4 years of experience as a Purchasing Manager in the hotel industry.
2. Strong organizational and coordination skills.
3. Ability to handle emergency situations and make prompt decisions.
4. Familiarity with computerized billing systems.
5. Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
6. Knowledge of waste material handling and return procedures.
7. Bachelors degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
