Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Purchase Manager to join our team at DCS Group. As a Purchase Manager, you will be responsible for managing the procurement process and ensuring the timely and cost-effective acquisition of goods and services for our organization. This is a mid-level position requiring 4 to 6 years of experience. The job location is Mumbai, Maharashtra, India. This is a full-time position.
Qualifications And Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field
- Proven experience as a Purchase Manager or in a similar procurement role
- Strong knowledge of procurement practices and procedures
- Excellent negotiation and contract management skills
- Familiarity with sourcing and vendor management software
- Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Attention to detail and organizational abilities
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
- Proficient in MS Office
- Develop and implement effective procurement strategies and policies to meet organizational objectives
- Source and evaluate suppliers, negotiate contracts, and manage vendor relationships
- Conduct market research and stay updated on industry trends and pricing
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify purchasing needs and specifications
- Review and approve purchase orders and ensure compliance with company policies
- Manage inventory levels and optimize stock levels
- Monitor supplier performance and resolve any issues or disputes
- Ensure timely delivery of goods and services and resolve any delivery discrepancies
- Track and report key procurement metrics to management
- Stay updated on procurement best practices and implement process improvements
Good experience in developing systems and procedures and excellent idea in ISO processes.
Experience with ERP systems and support with audits.
To maintain good relationships with our vendors.
To understand our engineering requirements and contact vendors with our requirements.
To act as bridge between engineering team, production team and vendors. Work together to focus on delivering the end result as expected and on expected time.
To support projects team with timelines.
To send monthly budget report to Finance team. To coordinate with accounts for payments.
We are looking for someone who can maintain stock records and handles stores efficiently.
Must be aware of Export Import of goods and legal documents involved.
We are moving towards developing material management system, so someone with ERP or relevant experience and interest would be preferred.
