Job Purpose:
The primary responsibility is to handle Mechanical work related activities on-board various Defence/Naval ships/shipbuilding.
Job Responsibilities:
- Experience 3-6 years in industry, preferably in Marine field, ship repairs or Building.
- Good understanding of mechanical process in manufacturing, repairs and assembly.
- Understanding and working out requirement of manpower for various tasks.
- Fault finding of mechanical equipment, Trouble shooting and operations of machinery and equipment.
- Understanding of control systems.
- Good understanding of Engineering Drawings, Use of Autocad for amending and making new drawings.
- Understanding of vendor capabilities and sourcing of products and services.
- Preparation of cost estimates of manufacturing and repair processes of equipment, based on manpower and material requirement.
- Sourcing of spares and ability to identify and assess vendors.
- Technical Negotiations with Customers and Vendors. Project correspondence handling and preparation of analysis for corrective action to overcome delays.
- Able to generate notes on observations of systems.
- Awareness of Quality procedures, safety measures while executing work in a team.
- Ability to generate process statements, work reports, technical documentation for equipment, installation procedures, process charts and PIDs
