You will be working as Project Engineer_Automation Splus and will be part of Process Automation Business Area for Energy Industries division based in Bangalore, India. In this role you will be reporting to Senior Engineering Manager and will be responsible for designing and executing DCS engineering activities in Service or Greenfield projects with medium to large complexity, according to standard work instructions, quality standards and safety guidelines. Delivering quality customer service to satisfy customers.

Your responsibilities

• Delivering of assigned project activities, tasks, work packages involving designing, detailing engineering, developing and configuring of control Logic and HMI, internal testing, system setup, IFAT or FAT
• Contributing in design specifications, engineering documents, testing procedures and working closely with project manager throughout the execution
• Ensuring customer satisfaction by executing work according to customer order, expectation, creating and maintaining a good relationship with customers and understanding their needs. Completing the project jobs on time with right quality and with utmost customer satisfaction
• Providing technical support for Field Service Engineering testing, installing and commissioning activities. Assisting in preparing Engineering Technical proposal of engineering projects during bid phase
• Contributing to continuous improvements initiatives, creating new idea generations. Contributing and finalizing technical key concepts as part of Kick-Off and designing freeze meetings
• Work on Project Documentation revision control such as PDC, supporting in evaluation and identifying issues / challenges for the project. Utilizing checklists to perform design verification according to applicable standards and engineering guidelines

Your background

• B E or B Tech in Instrumentation, Electronics and Communications Engineering
• Minimum 3 to 7 years of experience in complete lifecycle of the project from bid phase to commissioning especially in the field of Oil and Gas or Refineries or Petrochemicals or Power & Water or new energies like hydrogen / carbon capture and storage
• Experience in the selection, specification, configuration, testing and maintenance according to industry standards IEC 61508/ 61511/ IEC 61131-3 / IEC61850/ IEC104/IEC101 etc. Knowledge of network engineering and IT developments (PC handling, Windows applications, PC configurations, virus scanners, interfaces, backup)
• Well versed with Design documents like P&IDs, Control Narratives / SAMA / I/O Lists, FDS, third party communication protocols / Cause and Effects / Interlock/ Protection etc. Knowledge in Operation system windows 10, windows 2016 and 2019 server and well versed in Office 365 applications (Excel /Word /PPT / Teams / Outlook / Notes
• Having ABB Control system Experience (800xA, Symphony plus, Symphony Harmony , Advant, Infi90, Conductor NT, PPB) experience is an added advantage
