You will be working as Project Engineer – Automation and will be part of Process Automation Business Area for Energy Industries division based in Bangalore, India. In this role you will be reporting to Senior Engineering Manager and will be responsible for acting as a design authority for an engineering discipline with low to medium complexity. Completing assignments on small projects or portions of larger projects in a cost-effective manner and in accordance with contract specifications, quality standards, safety requirements, cybersecurity policies and standards.
Your responsibilities
- Evaluating, selecting, applying standard techniques and procedures to perform engineering assignments, providing technical support for testing, installing, commissioning activities and preparing project documentation within one’s scope of deliverables
- Applying basic design thinking or design for excellence concepts in projects, utilizing checklists to perform design verification according to applicable standards, engineering guidelines, contributing and sharing experiences in workshops related to engineering design, tools and processes
- Developing of design documents and project deliverables as per project or process or domain requirement specifications
- Working on systems hardware, application development and testing of a control system as part of the solution
- Starting up, commissioning, troubleshooting of System, technical support, focusing and leading standardization activities to enhance productivity of engineering
- Contributing to development of application engineering tool to optimize engineering efforts, contributing to productivity improvements and quality deliverables
Your background
- B E or B Tech in Instrumentation, Electronics and Communications Engineering
- Minimum 2 to 7 years of experience in Oil and Gas, Petrochemicals and Process Industries
- Proven knowledge of Software and Hardware design, Commissioning and testing experience with any of the DCS and 800xA knowledge. Good design experience, including development of Application software as per IEC
- Working knowledge on communication protocols and 3rd party interfaces (Profibus, Modbus, OPC, IEC61850, etc. Good knowledge of network engineering and IT developments (PC handling, Windows applications, PC configurations, virus scanners, interfaces, backup)
