• SOUL is a non-governmental organization passionate about bringing holistic change to deprived people. SOUL focuses on education, livelihood, health and hygiene to drive the positive change. We work in the islands of Sunderban, surrounding districts of Kolkata and among marginalized people in Kolkata. We are 6 years old and a small group of people with common values to usher in economic and social changes.
• So far, we have educated more than 70 girls. SOUL has made children healthier, stopped malnourishment and improved BMI. We have driven behavioral changes on hygiene and lifestyle over thousands of ‘adivasi’ brothers & sisters across villages in Sunderban. We have carried out multiple relief work during natural calamities.As of now, we have distributed more than 7 lakhs free food plates to eradicate hunger.

What is the nature of the work?

• Government has created a good basic education system today. However, once the students finish elementary education – their awareness is low on higher education and related career options. There is an information gap today that not only exists in the Sunderban but among all rural parts of West Bengal.
• Hence,we are seeking an experienced and highly organized Production Manager to oversee and approve the work done by a content creator, a video editor, and a video presenter.The job would be 80% desk-based role with 20% of travel required to the Sunderban island and other locations.

What would make you succeed in this role and with SOUL?

• Present videos in Bengali (80% of the cases) & English (20% of the cases) for lay man audience on the various opportunities for students after 10thor 12thclass.
• Oversee and approve the work of a content creator, video editor, and video presenter.
• Ensure that the content created aligns with the expectations of the organisation.
• Ensure that the video presenter is able to effectively communicate the message.
• Ensure that the video editor completes their work within the decided time limits and to a high standard of quality.
• Share created content and use various technique to increase engagement on the orgnaisation’s social media platforms.
• Foster a positive and productive team environment.
• Calls for a good command on Bengali language both spoken, written and reading. Capable to proofread the content and communicate his idea with other team members.

Exceptional leadership skill.

• Occassionally Expected to lend the voice over for the videos.
• Good sense of creativity and able to present the video with a beautiful story.
• Creatively use visual design or video to communicate an idea concept or story.
• Passionate of bringing social change, self-driven, great team worker and willingness to go beyond key responsibilities and undertake additional tasks to support SOUL’s transformational journey.
• Past of experience on same job for atleast 1 year is essential.
• 2D animation and Graphics /Social Media Marketing/ Anchoring/ short film knowledge will be added advantage.
