Program Manager
The Group:
PitchBook Public Equity Data collects data for over 50,000 global public companies across multiple datasets. The datasets include Fundamental Data, Market Data, Price and Corporate Actions, Equity & Debt Data and Industry Metrics. The data provided by Equity Data feeds PitchBook platform as well as many other Morningstar products. The Mumbai Equity Data team has grown rapidly in the last few years and is 1200 employees strong now.
The Role:
The PitchBook Public Equity Data team is looking for a knowledgeable, enthusiastic, creative, and results-driven candidate with overall 10+ years of work experience majorly in financial and market data collection industry to join its Project Management team. The team’s mandate is to drive best practices, provide direction, and manage the implementation of key data projects and strategic initiatives. To this end as a Program Manager you will work with content researchers, developers, tech managers, data collection team, senior data leaders and client/third-party stakeholders to define, manage and implement critical data projects and manage strategic initiatives. You will be a high performer who is prepared to think critically throughout the project management cycle and continuously seek improvements and efficiencies wherever possible during project implementation. You will work in a global environment, managing stakeholders in multiple regions.
This position is based in our Navi Mumbai office.
Responsibilities
Work with various members of the PB Public Equity Data team to drive key data projects from inception to completion.
Provide rigor to our project management, including promoting the use of Lean Six Sigma, Agile, and Morningstar’s project management framework.
Work with the Key Projects and Integration Teams, and other stakeholders to create and groom the Equity Data project backlog.
Coordinate with resources across various teams including, technology, operations, methodology and the content specialist team.
Communicate clear and concise project status information to stakeholders including Data Leadership, the Sales teams, and external clients.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in engineering/accounting/ finance/ business.
Strong project management skills.
Overall work experience of 7+ years in project management set in an agile framework.
Overall work experience of around 10 years and proven track record in the Equity/Financial Data industry.
Intermediate to advanced level of knowledge in working with databases (SQL).
Able to contribute to global projects coordinating with the global operations teams, working across different time zones.
Proven track record of “getting things done”.
Hands on in reporting the weekly, fortnightly, monthly project status to the stakeholders.
Self-starter, comfortable with implementing and executing Agile development processes and accepting responsibility for seeing projects through to completion.
Should be a strong team player capable of building trust within the squad.
Should be well versed in the art of stakeholder management.
Strong communication, interpersonal, analytical, and management skills.
