Our mission
This position will be responsible for overall Corn Wet Milling Plant operational activities, accountable for Safety, Quality, Production & IR/ER Relationship of Designated plant /area. Having sound knowledge of Operational excellence.

Key Accountabilities:
- Ensure that Environmental, Health and Safety standards and procedures are adhered.
- Production planning and control - Develop and manage master production schedule and operations budgets for products to directly support and ensure that the product is delivered to agreed cost, quality and timelines.
- Input and hold responsibility for manufacturing budgets.
- Implement a customer focused operational culture.
- Responsible for productivity improvement.
- Coordinate team activities to optimize cost performance of the plant through capital investment programs, optimizing operating working capital usage and minimizing waste through the development of a continuous improvement culture encompassing excellence principles and clear strategic development.
- Manage the accurate and on-time introduction of new products - coordinating with and supporting the new product development team to implement new and revised designs and developing effective processes to ensure manufacturability of product while maintaining quality, safety, environmental standards and achieving cost targets.
- Support project management to cross functional activity required for project execution.
- Provide leadership to departments as coach, mentor, develop direct reports and manage a high performing team that delivers continuous improvement, added value and cost reductions.
- Ensure strong communication between teams under leadership to facilitate exchange of information and in order to implement change and improvements.
- Proactively work with product line management, engineering, service and other departments to incorporate best practices into the manufacturing environment.
- Report on manufacturing activities on a regular basis to the Senior Management team, ensuring accurate and timely reporting of the relevant Key Performance Indicators.
- Ensures that others are trained as back-ups on (processes) within the area/department.
Specificities:
- This position shall be responsible for complete crushing plant maintenance including MSP, First Product and maize cleaning.
- Ensure reliability of plant and find out reasons for repetitive failure and actions for improvements.
- Planning for job work from contractors and vendors.
- Planning preventive /Predictive maintenance plan / work schedule of department.
- Evaluation of machine performance and recommend actions
- Determine and list out spares and inventory for critical equipment.
- Recommendation of standardization of inventory for easy procurement.
- Inward goods inspection.
- Identifying critical machines and prepare plan to monitor performance for 100% effectiveness.
- To ensure availability of the spares as per inventory levels.
- To ensure the maintenance jobs are undertaken in line with Site Safety System
- Ensure any changes made in process which effects food safety management system, shall be routed thru MOC.
- Control & adhere to allocated budget for Starch plant.
- To modify the Equipment to suit the internal customer without compromising the quality of product.
