Job description

What you’ll do:

Product strategy for MG India for traditional and eMobility products in India by working closely with the cross functional teams within and outside India and with customers to generate profitable growth.

Product Strategy – Mobility Group businesses in India
Product Roadmaps:
Evolving and Defining product roadmaps for India
Identifying the upcoming regulatory requirements and assessing the Opportunities and threats it creates for Eaton in the Region (PESTEL)
Enlisting clear value propositions for Eaton’s products and identifying Eaton differentiators for the products
Track and map competitive development (including VI threats) to modulate the roadmap
Prioritization of engineering resource allocation for NPD or Customer pursuits
Drive Growth:
Drive MG India business strategic initiatives to position India MG business for long-term growth. Prepare and drive Go to market strategy
Drive yearly WIN targets and create opportunity pipeline by working closely with Sales team
Conduct periodic strategic reviews with the leadership team and regular growth reviews with the CFT to create long term product and business roadmap
Position India manufacturing competitiveness for intercompany business opportunities with other regions/ countries
Support to evaluate inorganic growth opportunities
Act as a point of contact between product-line and regional leadership
Support sales and marketing on customer tech days to decide the product and value proposition
Conduct proactive market studies and adjacency studies to add areas of growth.
Commercial Effectiveness and Profitability improvement
Provide leadership for pricing strategies for commercial effectiveness, drive process adherence in accordance with Eaton global practices
Evaluation of new business opportunities. Business case building
Preparing and presenting Go-NoGo reviews
Support for Strategic Pricing
Work with plant, Engg, SCM to drive profitability improvement initiatives
Vigilant to the market and competition prices and identifying opportunities to maximize


Qualifications:

  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering/Production, Industrial Engineering / Diploma in Materials Management, Graduation with MBA will be an added advantage. Strong in customer / market relationship and effective communication would be required.
  • 10 – 15 years' experience in Product Marketing, business planning, Engineering / product development, Application engineering, industry and competition analysis.


Skills:

  • Communicates effectively with all regional and product line teams and can quickly and effectively build relationships at all levels. Must be able to effectively work in a matrix organization.
  • Experience in other areas like New Product introduction, business case preparation, program management would be added advantage.
  • Must have strong analytical skills
  • Ability to manage employees effectively. Ability to forge strong relationships at all levels in organization. Strong Team player.
