Process Engineer
About the Opportunity:
We are establishing a Greenfield manufacturing facility near Ahmedabad in India. This will be the flagship facility in line with Industry 5.0 with state-of-the-art lights-out advanced automation and digitization. This will also provide us with a blueprint for any of the future greenfield and major brownfield expansions. To deliver this, we are hiring a highly competent and motivated Process Engineer who will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation and continuous improvement of our manufacturing processes.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Project Execution:
- Lead, coordinate, and execute capital expenditure (CAPEX) projects, including equipment installations, commissioning, and performance reviews.
- Conduct site acceptance tests (SATs), installation qualification (IQ), operational qualification (OQ), and participate in process validation activities.
- Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources effectively.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure project success.
- Process Improvement:
- Analyze and optimize existing manufacturing processes to enhance efficiency, productivity, and quality.
- Identify and implement process improvement initiatives, including lean manufacturing principles and Six Sigma methodologies.
- Develop and document standard operating procedures (SOPs) for manufacturing processes.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and recommend corrective actions as needed.
- Technical Support:
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to manufacturing equipment and processes.
- Provide technical support to other departments within the plant, such as production, maintenance, and quality control.
- Stay updated on the latest advancements in manufacturing technologies and best practices.
- Greenfield Responsibilities:
- Participate in the development and implementation of the manufacturing processes for the new plant.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure a smooth transition from construction to operation.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of quality management systems.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in a greenfield project setting.
- Proven experience in project execution, equipment installation, and commissioning.
- Strong understanding of process optimization principles and methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma).
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong work ethic and commitment to continuous improvement.
Technical Skills:
- Proficient in engineering software (e.g., AutoCAD, P&IDs).
- Knowledge of process control systems and instrumentation.
- Understanding of relevant safety regulations and procedures.
