The #NielsenIQ technology teams are working on building a unified, global, open data ecosystem powered by Microsoft Azure. Our clients around the world rely on #NielsenIQ data and insights to innovate and grow. We are looking for an experienced PL/SQL Developer to be part of our Technology hub in India to build, maintain and transform our factory systems, that are critical to the business.
Responsibilities:
- Design & develop Big data solutions especially in Data engineering using Spark, Databricks, Scala (preferred)/Python
- Write clean and maintainable code to tackle complex business problems with unwavering focus on engineering principles and best practices
- Utmost focus on performance, scalability, cost reduction/saving
- Provide solutions to improve process quality, understand emerging technologies, standards and best practices in cross platform development
- Demonstrate mastery in applying concepts, and methodologies to innovative solutions
- Can work autonomously, and solve complex challenges, applying mastery and demonstrating expertise in their particular domain
- Continuously discover, evaluate, and implement new technologies and frameworks to maximize efficiency
Qualifications
- Minimum 6 years of experience in Big data related technologies
- Expertise in Spark, Databricks, Scala (preferred)/Python is a must
- Strong foundational knowledge in Data Structures and Algorithms
- Proven track record in solution design and profiling + performance optimization
- Good experience working with large data sets with hands-on technology skills using industry standard frameworks
- Hands-on CICD knowledge
- Good to have - Java, Gradle, Jenkins, GitHub, Terraform, Helm, Azure
- Open and quick to learn new technologies and tools
- Experience working on cloud native technologies and platforms would be needed
- Excellent problem solving, hands-on engineering skills and communication skills
- Engineering degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field
