We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of a Consultant Specialist.
In this role, you will:
The job holder will have to perform the following duties:
- Work closely and maintain good relationship with global and local teams to deliver projects and consultancy service.
- Database Administration: Install, configure, upgrade, and maintain database software, ensuring optimal performance and reliability. Create and manage database instances, tablespaces, and data files. Perform regular backups and recovery procedures to protect data integrity. Monitor and tune database performance, including identifying and resolving bottlenecks.
- Security and Compliance: Implement and enforce security measures to safeguard the databases against unauthorized access and data breaches. Ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices for data protection and privacy. Manage user accounts, roles, and permissions to control access to the databases.
- Database Performance Monitoring and Optimization: Monitor database performance using various tools and techniques. Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks, optimize SQL queries, and fine-tune database parameters to enhance system responsiveness and efficiency. Analyze and interpret database performance metrics to make recommendations for improvement.
- Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of database configurations, procedures, and processes. Prepare reports on database performance, capacity planning, and system availability. Communicate findings, recommendations, and status updates to management and stakeholders.
- Application SQL writing is required.
