Job Characteristics:Responsible for the operation and maintenance of the equipment and systems included in WPS customer contracts.
Operates equipment on customer site (Start, Stop and Adjusts as required)
Undertaking Operating Decisions within approved and agreed Standard Operational Procedures.
Performs level 1 maintenance on equipment (clean, grease and replace parts as needed)
Obtains, analyzes and logs water samples as required
Takes readings to insure proper process parameters, chemical stock levels and spare part inventory
Responsible for inspections of plant equipment and performs preventative and emergency maintenance as required
Supervises chemical deliveries
Education/Work Experience:Secondary diploma
3 to 5 years’ experience of working in an industrial environment
Job specific requirements – fork lift driver license or truck driver license
Electrical, Water or Wastewater licenses as required by contract
Independence Level/Reports to:Low to moderate decision making, works according to a weekly plan under the direction of site supervisor.
Assumes primary customer contact when no manager on occasion when manager is off site.
