Key Responsibilities:
- Facility Layout Optimization:
- Analyze current warehouse layout and propose improvements to maximize space utilization and streamline workflows.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement layout changes and ensure minimal disruption to daily operations.
- Process Improvement:
- Conduct time and motion studies to identify bottlenecks and inefficiencies in warehouse processes.
- Develop and implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational effectiveness.
- Inventory Management:
- Work closely with inventory control teams to optimize inventory placement, ensuring efficient picking, packing, and shipping processes.
- Implement strategies to minimize stockouts, overstock situations, and improve overall inventory accuracy.
- Technology Integration:
- Evaluate and recommend new technologies and automation solutions to improve warehouse operations.
- Collaborate with IT teams to integrate and optimize warehouse management systems (WMS) and other relevant technologies.
- Data Analysis and Reporting:
- Utilize data analytics tools to generate insights into key performance indicators (KPIs) and operational metrics.
- Prepare regular reports on warehouse performance and present findings to management.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial or Mechanical Engineering.
- Proven experience in Industrial Engineering within a warehousing or 3PL environment.
- Strong proficiency in data analysis and familiarity with relevant tools/software.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on continuous improvement.
