The Opportunity:
As a software QA Manager, you will provide engineering management and leadership on medium to large scale products with internal and direct customer impact. You are primarily responsible for quality control throughout the software development lifecycle by planning, organizing, and building testing protocols and managing teams of QA engineers and testers. You will ensure projects are delivered on time with efficient use of resources, within budget and within agreed upon quality standards. You will work closely with cross-functional teams within OpenText and partner with key stakeholders.

- Ability to lead teams designing tests for complex systems with an eye for detail.
- Leading the design and implementation of test automation strategies and infrastructure.
- Deliver assigned projects on time, within budget and with the agreed quality standards.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external clients.
- Create a culture that strives to meet expectations and deliver value.
- Drive automated solutions that enable better efficiency and process improvement.
- Grow and manage the skills and talent in the team.
- Manage People Resource processes related to objective setting, regular check-ins, assessments, and compensation.
- Manage communication cross-functionally and escalate promptly as issues arise.
- Maintain project management documentation including but not limited to project plans, issues, risks, action items, and project sites.
- Excellent problem-solving skills.
What it takes:
- 9+ Years software Quality Assurance experience in an Agile/SCRUM environment
- 4+ Years QA leadership experience
- In-depth knowledge of software testing principles, methodologies and automated testing
- Collaborate effectively with team members and others in organization to resolve testing issues.
- Practical knowledge of agile/iterative development process.
- Able to manage large-scale and multiple QA teams concurrently.
- Strong leadership, people management and mentoring skills.
- Goal driven; plans and manages toward achieving goals, anticipates problems, and issues and proactively drives their resolution.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills across all levels.
- Experience in working in an international environment involving multiple development sites on various time zones.
- Proficiency with .NET & C# a plus.
- Experience with relational databases (Oracle/MSSQL/PostgreSQL) a plus.
