Responsibilities:
- Design, plan and implement server components/microservices based on feature requirements
- Participate in design review, requirements clarification, code review and other project related discussions
- Technical documentation - design, implementation, service, release notes, user guides, etc.
- Co-ordinate with other teams for system integration, validation and deployment
- Debugging/troubleshooting of issues, unit testing
- Enhance and maintain existing set of server components and tools
- Support QA/DevOps teams in feature functionality and debugging
- Work with cross-functional geographically distributed teams
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 2+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience.
Master's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 1+ year of Software Engineering or related work experience.
OR
PhD in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.
- 2+ years of academic or work experience with Programming Language such as C, C++, Java, Python, etc.
Required Skills:
- Software design/development experience in at least one of these programming languages – go, Java, C++
- Understanding of OOPS concepts, Software Fundamentals, DevOps processes
- Databases/data stores – Postgres, MySQL, Redis, SqlLite, RDS
- Cloud services – AWS, Azure
- Experience in developing large scale systems using microservices architecture
- Familiarity with DevOps processes and tools like Docker, Kubernetes, Git, Terraform, Datadog
- Familiarity with scripting languages like Python
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Good-to-Have Skills:
- Knowledge of wireless positioning technologies using 4G/5G/GNSS/WiFi
- Development experience in scalable distributed server systems/services on Linux
- Familiarity with telecommunication protocols
