Job Title: Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN)

Job Summary:
As a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN), you will provide basic nursing care under the direction of registered nurses (RNs), nurse practitioners (NPs), or physicians in various healthcare settings. Your responsibilities will include assisting with patient assessments, administering medications and treatments, monitoring vital signs, and providing direct patient care. With a focus on professionalism, compassion, and teamwork, you will contribute to the delivery of safe, high-quality healthcare services to patients of all ages and backgrounds.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist registered nurses (RNs) and other healthcare providers in performing nursing assessments and developing care plans for patients.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by healthcare providers, ensuring accuracy and adherence to established protocols.
  • Monitor patients' vital signs, observe for changes in condition, and report any abnormalities or concerns to the healthcare team.
  • Provide basic patient care, including assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs), hygiene, mobility, and comfort measures.
  • Perform routine nursing procedures such as wound care, dressing changes, catheterization, and specimen collection.
  • Assist with patient education and counseling on topics such as medication administration, disease management, and preventive healthcare.
  • Document patient care activities, assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately and timely in electronic health record (EHR) systems.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare team members to coordinate and optimize patient care and promote positive patient outcomes.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and therapeutic environment for patients, staff, and visitors by adhering to infection control practices and safety regulations.
  • Respond promptly and effectively to emergencies, following established protocols and procedures for emergency care and crisis management.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives, patient safety initiatives, and regulatory compliance activities to enhance the quality and efficiency of care delivery.
  • Engage in professional development activities, such as continuing education programs, workshops, and seminars, to expand knowledge and skills in nursing practice.
  • Demonstrate professionalism, integrity, and ethical conduct in all interactions with patients, families, colleagues, and other stakeholders.
  • Adhere to legal and regulatory standards of nursing practice, including licensure requirements, scope of practice guidelines, and professional codes of ethics.

Qualifications:

  • Graduation from an accredited vocational or practical nursing program leading to licensure as a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN).
  • Current licensure as an LVN/LPN in the state of practice.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; additional certifications such as Intravenous (IV) Therapy may be required depending on practice setting or employer preferences.
  • Strong clinical skills, including medication administration, wound care, and patient assessment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
  • Compassion, empathy, and a commitment to providing patient-centered care.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team and adapt to changing healthcare environments.
  • Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems and other healthcare technology tools.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as needed to meet patient care needs.
  • Adherence to professional standards of nursing practice, including ethical conduct, confidentiality, and respect for patients' rights and dignity.

Working Conditions:

  • Licensed Vocational Nurses (LVNs) may work in various healthcare settings, including hospitals, clinics, long-term care facilities, rehabilitation centers, and home health agencies.
  • Work hours may vary depending on the setting, specialty, and patient demand, with potential for rotating shifts, overtime, and on-call responsibilities.
  • LVNs may be exposed to infectious diseases, hazardous materials, and emotionally demanding situations while providing patient care.
  • Travel may be required for home health nurses or those working in mobile healthcare units.

Job Types: Full-time, Fresher

Salary: ₹10,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
