In this role, you will:
- Lead complex technology initiatives including those that are companywide with broad impact
- Act as a key participant in developing standards and companywide best practices for engineering complex and large scale technology solutions for technology engineering disciplines
- Design, code, test, debug, and document for projects and programs
- Review and analyze complex, large-scale technology solutions for tactical and strategic business objectives, enterprise technological environment, and technical challenges that require in-depth evaluation of multiple factors, including intangibles or unprecedented technical factors
- Make decisions in developing standard and companywide best practices for engineering and technology solutions requiring understanding of industry best practices and new technologies, influencing and leading technology team to meet deliverables and drive new initiatives
- Collaborate and consult with key technical experts, senior technology team, and external industry groups to resolve complex technical issues and achieve goals
- Lead projects, teams, or serve as a peer mentor
- Min 10 yrs of Experience in Software Engineering, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
- B.Tech or equivalent education
- Total 10+ years of experience in IT and with min 4+yrs of development experience in Python or PowerShell and unix Shell scripting
- Experience in setup rules, configurations, and metrics by using observability tools like Grafana, ITRS, Splunk, AppD, and Elastic APM
- Experience in writing Ansible play books and execute them for multiple servers and applications
- Ready to learn new Observability tools and scripting as per the business need
- Having min 4 years of strong technical leadership skills in developing & driving automated solutions
Job Expectations:
- Work on SRE and observability tools like ITRS, Splunk, App Dynamics, ELK, Grafana, Prometheus
- Designing and developing automated solutions using Python or Power Shell or any scripting language
- Working with Platform teams and Development teams, capture the requirements, preparing end to end flow diagrams, FSD, BRD and unit cases documents
- Ready to work in Agile model
- Build automated solutions using Ansible
- Experience in scheduling tools like Autosys
- Have to work with US and WFIP teams, and provide the necessary support to implement the solutions and provide the support until the solutions are in steady state
- Work on SRE and observability tools like Splunk, App Dynamics, ELK, Grafana, Amelia, ITRS, Google logger, Dynatrace or any other new tool that is suitable for the problem statement
- Have to learn new tools and techniques as per the business need
- Proactive identification of automation areas and get complete requirements from partners and convert functional requirements into technical requirements
- Analyze and propose suitable tool to build the solution based on the problem statement
- Able to Develop, mentor and review the automated solutions using Python, PERL, Unix shell scripting, PowerShell
- Work with Platform teams and Development teams to get complete requirements, preparing end to end flow diagram, FSD, BRD and unit cases documents
- Ready to work in Agile model
- Build scalable automated solutions on Ansible which produce results and help the support teams to analyze/fix issues
- Experience in scheduling tools
- Have to work with US and WFIP teams, and provide the necessary support to implement the solutions and provide the support until the solutions are in steady state
- Experience in processing the application logs into events and KPIs that can be leveraged by information teams to measure system performance
