Your Impact:
The role Lead Capacity Engineer is to analyze and recommend adequate capacity within the IT environment to meet Service Levels and other performance requirements as part of a cloud ops organization.
What the role offers:
Individual contributor with responsibility of technical delivery and able to take a concept from a white board to a viable solution in a reasonable length of time. Responsible for monitoring IT capacity levels, comparing actual levels against targets, and addressing shortfalls.

- Build Technical and functional knowledge by having partnered with the SME/consultants.
- Work independently to meet deliveries in terms of targeted timelines.
- Should be able to do the necessary automation required for building the automated capacity framework.
- Collaboration and communication skills to work with US tech leads to obtain potential growth detail and meet the business requirements.
- Able to use and decipher key information from Capacity Management tool for effective monitoring/trending of IT Infrastructure components to measure and evaluate performance and resource utilization.
- Able to design, interpret & deliver Performance and Capacity Reports
- Able to continually monitor IT resource usage and promptly identify performance OR capacity issues and report it to management.
- Assess Incidents/Problems and make appropriate capacity IT changes to improve Services performance.
- Perform or recommend tuning activities that enable optimized use of existing IT resources and minimize costs.
- Able to keep an eye on the thresholds set at a component level and recommend key changes to manage capacity proactively.
- Recommend adequate capacity within the IT environment to meet Service Levels and other performance requirements, taking in to account daily, weekly and seasonal variations in capacity demands.
- Uses technical knowledge, creativity, and company practices to drive down occurrences of incidents through development of proactive monitoring and alerting.
- Participate in training and information sharing activities.
What you need to succeed:
- Working experience with Linux systems.
- Deep understanding of system resources (CPU / Memory / Disk / Network) and its parameters.
- Experience on RDBMS, preferably Oracle Servers.
- Experience on Application servers (Apache / Tomcat / Containers).
- Experience in SAS, Develop SAS Report from SAS PDB datase
- Knowledge on cloud infrastructure; Google, AWS and PaaS technologies such as Cloud Foundry, Kubernetes, Bosh a plus.
- Experience with automation tools like Ansible.
- Experience with at least one scripting languages such shell, perl, python, etc…
- Deep expertise in Monitoring distributed systems application architectures and the ability to correlate environment conditions and metrics to application events.
- Experience with monitoring tools such as OBM / SiteScope / Zabbix / NewRelic.
- Strong understanding of ITIL principles, certification is a plus.
- Proven problem solving and analytical ability.
- Excellent organizational/time management skills.
- A proven record of being able to work independently and collaboratively.
