We are seeking a Kitchen Helper to join our team. As a Kitchen Helper, you will assist in food preparation, maintain cleanliness and orderliness in the kitchen, and support the kitchen staff in various tasks. This is a full-time position ideal for fresher candidates with less than 1 year of experience in the hotel or restaurant industry.
Qualifications and Skills
- Previous experience as a Kitchen Helper is preferred, but not required
- Knowledge of basic food preparation and cooking techniques
- Familiarity with kitchen equipment and utensils
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and follow instructions
- Good physical stamina and dexterity
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Willingness to learn and take on new tasks
- A positive attitude and a strong work ethic
Roles and Responsibilities
- Assist in food preparation and cooking under the supervision of the kitchen staff
- Maintain cleanliness and orderliness in the kitchen, including dishwashing and sanitizing surfaces
- Follow all food safety and hygiene regulations and practices
- Assist in receiving and storing incoming supplies and ingredients
- Help in chopping, cutting, and peeling vegetables and other food items
- Assist in serving food to customers, if required
- Perform basic kitchen tasks, such as washing and cutting fruits, and preparing ingredients
- Support the kitchen staff in any other duties assigned
