Junior Video Editor

We’re looking for a highly-talented Video Editor who is proficient in Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects. Also should have production knowledge, Photoshop, Graphic designing skills and Basic understanding of sound softwares.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Logging footage in accordance with our naming conventions
• Generating text and graphical assets using the Adobe suite
• Preparing Adobe Premiere project files and template folders
• Complete rough-cut editing tasks from both raw footage and pre-existing material
• Finishing edits via simple color correction and audio enhancements
• Creating simple motion graphics in Premiere Pro
• Uploading and downloading large video files via AWS
• Communicating with the appropriate parties via project tracking documents and other channels

Requirements

• Familiarity with videography and digital media creation in general, professional video and audio editing in particular
• Familiarity with post-production practices, tools, and conventions such as file codecs and formats, as well as importing, exporting, and transcoding digital media
• Strong attention to detail and propensity to spot glitches and irregularities.
• Strong familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite video, audio, and image post-production applications, particularly Adobe Premiere, Adobe Audition, Adobe Photoshop, and Adobe Media Encoder. Other app familiarity is a plus.
• Familiarity with Internet productivity software such as Google Suite, Zoom, AWS, File-transfer Protocol (FTP) (e.g. FileZilla, Cyberduck), etc.
• Strong English-language written and verbal skills are required.
• Interest in scientific research and communication, a plus.
• Motion graphics experience with Adobe AfterEffects and/or Essential Graphics (Premiere Pro) is a plus

Qualification

A Bachelor or Master’s Degree, 1-2 years of experience as a Video Editor (as long as you can do a fab job, the years don’t matter).
