We're now seeking a dynamic and service-minded HRGeneralist to lead our people and culture agenda in Kuala Lumpur.

As our HR Generalist, you would play a crucial role within our organization, supporting local team leads and employees, collaborating with global stakeholders and foster a positive and inclusive workplace culture. You would be a key player in creating a positive and productive work environment, while ensuring compliance with local employment laws and other relevant standards, and supporting the development of our organization's workforce. You would also promote our local employee health and wellness programs.

You'll work closely with our global People & Culture team, local leaders, and line to drive the employee experience and support during activites within employee lifecycle. Reporting to the Director of People and Culture Operations in Helsinki, Finland, you'll have the opportunity to take the lead in shaping our Malaysia based operations and contributing to our global growth.

Key responsibilities:

  • Leading the F-Secure People & Culture agenda in Malaysia, ensuring that F-Secure’s global employee experience is consistently implemented and led throughout the employment life cycle.
  • Supporting and guiding line managers, HQ People & Culture colleagues and employees in any employment matters requiring local HR knowledge and legislation, and ensuring legal compliance throughout local HR processes.
  • Owning the HR administration and payroll administration on a local level and managing documentation related to contracts, confidentiality agreements, and other legal matters.
  • Managing the local employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other perks together with our Comp. and Ben Manager.
  • Maintaining HR databases and records and analyzing HR metrics and data to make informed decisions (e.g. in salary review, job leveling etc.)
  • Supporting our Talent Acquisition and hiring managers in local hiring processes by reviewing new job requisitions, preparing job offers and contracts, and assisting the hiring manager with the onboarding process.
  • Taking care of employee relations, by managing possible issues and conflicts together with team leads, and supporting career development and growth, and assisting with performance improvement plans as necessary.

Our office is located in Kuala Lumpur and we work in a hybrid setting. We'd hope you are able to visit the office at least once a week.

What are we looking for?

  • A bachelor's degree in human resources, business administration, psychology, or a related field, and a strong understanding of local, laws and regulations is essential to ensure compliance in areas such as labor relations, employment discrimination.
  • At least 5 years of experience as a HR Generalist, preferably from global organizations.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and proficiency in English and Malay are crucial for effectively interacting with employees, management, and external stakeholders.
  • Strong networking skills with the ability to build trust with employees, resolve conflicts, and promote a healthy workplace culture.
  • Strong organizational skills are needed to manage HR records, documentation, and various HR processes efficiently.
  • Familiarity with employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and leave policies.
  • Prior experience with HR software and systems used for payroll, benefits administration, and employee records management. Any experience with Workday is appreciated.
