Autodesk is looking for a manager to lead the Global Accounts Payable team in Bangalore.  In this role, you will be reporting directly to the Director of Global Accounts Payable who has the overall responsibilities of the Global Accounts Payable team.  We’re looking for someone well versed in AP processes and AP accounting across APAC, AMER and EMEA regions with an eye for details and a good understanding of VAT/GST & Withholding Tax knowledge.You are required to manage part of the team in terms of hiring, training and ensuring the timely and accurate processing of invoices and disbursements to vendors and the integrity of the financial accounting system. In addition, this role also requires you to lead process improvement through automation tools and optimizing the processes through S4 HANA, Ariba, OpenText and Vertex systems.  Other responsibilities include reviewing of manual journal entries, account reconciliations, disaster recovery planning and meeting month end closing deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Coach, manage and motivate the Accounts Payable team to ensure the highest quality of professionalism in the performance of work

  
  

• Ensure invoices and expense claims are processed accurately, vendor accounts are reconciled and the AP ledger aging is within payment terms

  
  

• Ensure controls are operating effectively and conform to all legal and regulatory accounting and Tax requirements, including compliance with corporate policies, local statutory requirements and Sarbanes Oxley

  
  

• Redesign and optimize Accounts Payable process, and drive a continuous improvement culture

  
  

• Responsible for month and quarter end close and for the accuracy of Accounts payable postings to GL

  
  

• Responsible process/projects in the Accounts payable area

  
  

• Establish objective measurement criteria to effectively manage and report performance and communicate service level expectations

  
  

• Establish/ Maintain Service Level Agreements (SLAs) with all stakeholders and internal customers

  
  

• Work cross functionally with other functions (eg. IT, HR, Finance, Operations and Business Units) to proactively manage and resolve business and operational issues in an innovative, efficient and effective manner

  
  

• Be the main point of contact for Internal and External audit queries

  
  

• Capable to address complex issues with minimal direction/supervision

  
  

• Capable to analyse actual spend versus historical/forecasted amount and provide variance explanations to corporate accounting during quarter end closing

  
  

• Be proactive in enhancement to the existing finance policies/processes and programs

  
  

• Communicates new policies and processes to Autodesk community and monitors the implementation progress

  
  

• Provide coaching and training to fellow team members and/or business users

• Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting

  
  

• A minimum of 3 years of successful leadership experience as a people manager including extensive exposure to Accounts Payable domain across all GEOs, ideally in a large and global company

  
  

• Advanced working knowledge with Word, Excel, Power Point; Experience with S4 Hana, Ariba, OpenText and Vertex is highly desired

  
  

• Prior experience in automating AP processes and have knowledge of using automation tools such as Alteryx, PowerBI, Smartsheet is plus
