Job Responsibilities :
- Develop, write, and update comprehensive technical documentation, including user manuals, guides, and online help systems.
- Collaborate with Subject Matter Experts
- Work closely with engineers, developers, and other subject matter experts to gather information and ensure the accuracy and relevance of technical content.
Translate Technical Information:
- Translate complex technical concepts into clear and accessible documentation for a diverse audience, including end-users and other stakeholders.
- Stay Informed about Industry Trends:
- Keep abreast of industry trends, technological advancements, and product updates to accurately represent the latest information in technical documentation.
Review and Edit Documentation:
- Review, edit, and proofread documentation to ensure clarity, consistency, and adherence to company standards.
Use Documentation Tools:
- Utilize documentation tools and software to create, manage, and publish technical documentation.
Contribute to Process Improvement:
- Provide insights and suggestions for improving documentation processes, tools, and overall efficiency.
Job Requirements:
- Two or more years of experience as an effective Technical Writer
- Proven ability to quickly learn and understand complex subject matter
- Experience in writing documentation and procedure manuals for various audiences
- Superb written communication skills, with a keen eye for detail
- Experience in working with engineers to improve user experience (ex: design, UI), refine content, and create visuals and diagrams for technical support content
- Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
- Bachelor's degree in relevant technical field with experience in software development
- Degree or diploma in journalism or communications is an advantage
- Firm understanding of SDLC (systems development lifecycle)
- Professional certification (ex: Society for Technical Communication) is an advantage
- Experience in using XML tools to create documentation
