SUMMARY
As a FULLSTACK developer, your mission extends far beyond simply coding. You are an elite member of our technology team. You will work closely with STV’s Product and Operations team and directly report to the CTO.
You must have a great sense of responsibility, be autonomous and able to quickly adapt and adjust to changing priorities. All this while keeping an eye on critical deadlines. You’ll be accomplishing very varied technology related tasks such as:
- Creating programs, algorithms and functions from scratch
- Finding solutions to complex issues through structured and creative thinking
- Machine learning and Big data analysis
- Build reliable and robust solutions using artificial intelligence. (deep learning)
- Quality assurance and “BUG” fixes as well as bringing enhancements to existing functions
- Brainstorming and creating user interfaces and ergonomic enhancements (UI / UX).
- Producing monthly reports and KPI’S
- Development and management of the IT platform (both Front and Backend)
- Plan projects and delivery results in start-up environment
- Manage projects throughout our entire development and QA cycle (This individual’s primary focus will be to convert the BRD and design into a robust product that would be later beta tested)
- Work with our internal and external team to build and maintain IOS and Android applications
- Work with our leaders and back-end team to estimate timelines for new features and new applications
- Play critical role in API planning & development for our applications
- Coordinate with and assist design team in UX and product development
- Investigate and fix bugs
- Participate and assist with design/UX, code review, and planning/brainstorming
Requirements
5+ years of strong coding experience working at a technology company as part of their web and or mobile app product or service development team. We are looking for someone with advanced senior level skills and experience with reactive native and someone who can quickly grow into a team leader role.
Programming and development skills:
Advanced Knowledge of JavaScript/Typescript – Expert level
Advanced knowledge of Node.js, HTML 5/CSS 3
Knowledge in end-to-end mobile application development (Android/IOS) is required
Experience is IDEs like Xcode, IntelliJ IDEA, Eclipse
Knowledge and experience in Hybrid apps like Flutter by Google
Experience working with multiple API integration
API development experience will be an added advantage
General knowledge in Objective-C / Swift is a plus!

Best coding habits required (Type Hinting, Unit/Functional Tests, Re-Factorization, Comments etc….)

Ability to make decisions quickly, ability to make priority adjustments and corrections without affecting the quality of your work
Excited by the “start-up mentality” and everything a start-up environment entails (Positives: Autonomy, Creativity, Freedom regarding the creative process, opportunity to influence the direction in which a company grows) but you must also welcome the challenges (Fast work pace, ability to work under pressure, inconsistent work schedules)
Loves teamwork, and people management skills
Excellent sense of task organisation and prioritization (good handle on using time management tools)
Very autonomous (problem solver, great at research and delivery)
Ability to work gracefully and have a bias for action in a fast-paced, sometimes ambiguous environment.
Strong communicator – Written and verbal (Strength in English language mandatory)
