Cloud DevopsEngineer
We are looking to hire an experienced Cloud Devops Engineer to work with LSEG (LONDON STOCK EXCHANGE GROUP) Azure data platform initiative to create and manage azure infrastructure using Terraform script and manually. Candidate should be proficient in azure services like Fabric, Purview, KeyVault, AKS, Azure AI Search, App Services, Log Monitor etc., deploying application codes, identifying production issues, and implementing CI-CD pipelines that meet our development team needs. The ideal candidate should have a solid background in software engineering with familiarity in Python and will work with developers and engineers to ensure that software development follows established processes and works as intended.
Responsibilities
- Provide partnership and support to SME’s and Tech Leads to ensure timely delivery on commitments.
- Deploying, automating, maintaining, and managing DevOps Infrastructure, to ensure availability, scalability, performance, and security of infrastructure.
- Understanding the needs of stakeholders and conveying them to developers
- Working on ways to automate and improve development and release processes.
- Strive for continuous improvement and build continuous integration, continuous development, and constant deployment pipeline (CI/CD Pipeline) to orchestrate the promotion of code.
- Implementing new/improved Devops tools and infrastructure
- Perform root cause analysis of production errors and resolve technical issues across DevOps infrastructure and tooling.
- Develop scripts to automate infrastructure provisioning.
- Design procedures for system troubleshooting and maintenance.
- Defining and setting development, test, release, update, and support processes for DevOps operation
- Monitoring & Alerting on the Infrastructure resources and application availability using various monitoring tools.
- Advocate and evangelise standard process engineering.
Knowledge & Behaviours
Technical/ job functional knowledge
- Experience with managing Azure services like : Microsoft Purview, Fabric/Synapse Analytics/ Databricks, Data Factory, Data Lake, Azure Monitor, ADLS, Azure Functions, Log Analytics.
- Proficient in Python, Bash.
- Proficient in infrastructure orchestration tools (Terraform).
- Strong notions of security standard processes (e.g., using Azure Key Vault, Microsoft Entra ID, RBAC, Azure Monitor etc.).
- Good understanding of Azure Networking concepts.
- Good understanding of UML.
- Good understanding and working experience of Devops tools, CICD Pipelines
- Experience with Agile development processes (SCRUM and Kanban) .
- Proficiency with Git and GitHub workflows
- Familiarity with Security and Operational standard processes
Certification & development experience
- 6+ years of proven experience as a DevOps engineer (in Financial Services industry) and Azure’s IaaS, PaaS and SaaS offerings (Fabric/Synapse/ Databricks, Purview, ADF, Azure Data Lake Storage etc.)
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team.
- Working experience with agile teams in different locations.
- Certification Azure – DP-203: Data Engineering on Microsoft Azure and DP-900: Microsoft Azure Data Fundamentals certification preferred.
