As the Financial Control professional in our Corporate & Investment Banking, you will spend each day defining, refining and delivering set goals for our firm
Global Technology F&BM team in India primarily supports LOB Tech as well as Corporate technology FP&A MIS reporting. The team is also responsible for supporting consolidated Global Technology (GT) level reporting which provides a summary view of GT expenses in India & Global.
You will work closely with business and IT managers to create budgets and forecasts for both direct and indirect expenses, along with identifying risks and opportunities. You will develop and produce management reporting and track actuals expenses vs. budget and outlook/forecasts. You will also review, analyze, and make recommendations regarding incoming indirect expenses. You need to be multi-tasking and analytically reviewing processes to identify improvements; along with good time management, communication, and presentation skills.
Job Responsibilities:
- Manage total expense base for designated Technology group within the Global Tech F&BM team. Analyze and articulate budget and forecast financials developed by LOBs to be in line with global tech requirements
- Manage monthly financial variance commentary, track various initiatives at GT level. Reconciliation and analysis of monthly financials from multiple reporting tools
- Responsible for gathering relevant data, analyzing and reporting the data in a meaningful manner to support management decisions around business processes and efficiencies. Creation of PowerPoint presentations, dashboards, and other reporting for clients and Finance & Business Management team which need to be accurate, of very high quality and often requiring quick turn-around
- Builds and maintains relationships with both Regional & Global Technology F&BM community and key Service Providers across IT lines of business as well as enterprise functions (human resources, finance, legal, vendor management, etc.)
- Actively participate in business management functions viz., workforce management, headcount location planning & other non-financial metrics for the Technology group
- Support the Tech LoB Leadership Team by providing financial/expense base insights of the respective function
- Facilitate adhoc requirements around cost management, expense & HC tracking there by articulating the storyline at GT level
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:
- Minimum of 5+ years of financial / accounting & business management experience
- Advanced systems skills required including knowledge of Excel, Essbase and PowerPoint
- Self-motivated individual to go beyond immediate responsibilities
- Strong relationship management skills to interface with various stakeholders
- Detail-oriented individual capable of completing reporting and analytics accurately, on a timely basis, and in a presentable manner
- Capacity and desire to work both at a strategic and detailed analysis level
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills necessary
