Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Fashion Designer in Ludhiana. The day-to-day tasks of the role will include creating designs, coordinating fittings, selecting textiles, and collaborating with the fashion team to develop innovative designs.
Key Responsibilities
1.Doing thorough research for any season and adapting trends and forecast as per the market requirement.
2. Creating or visualizing an idea and producing flat sketches or computer-aided design (CAD) using software like Corel draw or adobe. illustrator.
3. Keeping up to date with emerging fashion trends as well as general trends relating to fabrics, colors and shapes.
4. Help the seniors in Planning and developing ranges as per seasons requirement.
5. Working with cross-functional teams such as merchandising, tech, quality, sales, marketing etc., to develop products to meet a brief.
6. Understanding design from a technical perspective, i.e. patterns, stitching techniques, printing and embroidery and produce technical specifications for designs.
7. Sourcing, selecting and buying fabrics, trims, fastenings and embellishments.
8. Adapting existing designs for mass production.
9.Understanding the complications of garment construction and help the team in the creation of these, including fitting, detailing and adaptations.
10. Oversee product development and ensure timely development of samples.
Qualifications
Software proficiency- Corel draw or adobe illustrator, adobe Photoshop
Creative and innovative in Fashion
Able to work in a fast-paced environment with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks
Able to work collaboratively in a team environment
Bachelor's degree in Fashion Design or equivalent experience
Relevant skills and qualifications such as previous experience with fast fashion, trend forecasting, and proficiency in designing software could also be beneficial,
