The Boeing India Engineering and Technology Center (BIETC) is looking for ExperiencedElectronicsAvionX Product Support Test Engineer (HW). This individual will work in a team environment to design and develop automated test equipment solution’s for testing wide variety of Line Replacement Units (LRUs) across diverse Avionics products. He should be able to develop and documents moderately complex electronic and electrical system requirements. Designs hardware, software and interface specifications. Tests and validates to ensure System Designs meet operational and functional requirements. The candidate should possess strong technical acumen and the ability to communicate effectively with various stakeholders, Suppliers, assists in monitoring supplier performance to ensure system integration and compliance with requirements. Solves problems concerning fielded hardware and software over the entire product lifecycle.

Boeing India Engineering is seeking an Experienced Electronics System Design &Analysis Engineer to support our team in Smithfield, PA. Boeing India Engineering oversees the design, development, manufacture, integration and testing of LRU designs for various Avionics systems. This position is located in Bengaluru, Karnataka.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Works with the existing Maintenance Repair & Operations team to execute required testing and analysis for any returned/failed units
• Extensive knowledge in design and Development of automated test equipment’s solutions for testing avionics LRU product lines
• Experience in writing Test requirement Documents for various application at system and LRU level.
• Experience in analyzes, validate and translates test requirements into test System Designs and interface specifications.
• Executes Researches specific technology advances for potential application to company business needs.
• Proficient in designing and implementing hardware solutions for the precise measurement of various sensor interfaces like wheel speed, temperature sensors (RTDs, Thermocouples), pressure sensors, flow sensors, RSLV, LVDT, etc.
• Proficient in designing and implementing hardware solutions for the communication protocols like IEEE-488, Arinc664, Arinc429, Arinc818, Arinc825, MIL-STD-1553, Arinc717 etc.
• Extensive knowledge and experience in analog/digital/power supply circuit designs and analysis.
• Excels in developing test cases and performing tests to ensure LRU System Designs meet operational and functional requirements.
• Expertise in selecting the various test instruments including different platform hardware’s like VPC, VME, cRIO, PXI/PXIe, Power Supplies, DMMs, Analog, DIO, and network switches.
• Proficient in developing Test requirements, Test cases/strategies and ATE requirements.
• Experience in Hardware testing and ATE verification/validation for test requirements compliance & error analysis.
• Experience in Leading the team of testing engineers to ensure deliveries adhering to safety, quality and on schedule.
• Comprehend and utilize various product design and test documents including product level requirements, Interface Control Documents, TRD Test Requirements Design, Qualification Test Plans, etc.
• Exposure to Aerospace standards like DO-160, DO-254, DO-178 and product compliance/qualification testing.
• Troubleshoot diverse instrument hardware and Units under Test (UUTs) effectively.
• Familiarity with communication interfaces like RS-232, RS422, Ethernet, GPIB, SPI, and I2C.
• General knowledge of Mass/high density interconnects solution’s relating to High speed digital interfaces, RF interfaces etc.
• Maintains, collects and provides required analysis, status report and metrics on failures to support root cause identification and corrective actions
• Validates designs through various methods of review, testing and analysis
• Manages, creates, develops and maintains complex systems designs by analyzing existing design layouts, modifying existing designs and developing robust engineering analysis of issues.
• Validates complex engineering System Design and functionality Identifies, tracks and statuses technical performance activities and provides specific test approaches to address root cause and corrective action items on identified failures
• Supports the Product Support team and Manufacturing in coordinating with Supplier Management to ensure part failures are properly documented, investigated, and communicated
• Provides engineering support throughout the lifecycle of the product
• Performs root cause and corrective action on identified failures to address product line needs and resolve critical items to support product development and deliveries
• Maintains disciplined revision control of all engineering documentation program baselines
• Leads the root case/corrective action activities for all in service issues.  Reviews product definition, design, configuration data and works with product development teams to identify root cause and determine corrective action for issues
• Manages, plans, researches, develops, analyzes, and designs modification and repair solutions that comply with customer, regulatory, Safety and company requirements. Leads planning and design criteria identification to develop innovative, integrated support and maintenance infrastructure
• Performs analysis and planning efforts for the program to determine impacts, constraints and plans involving product development, production rates, process improvement, or program initiatives
• Develops and posts planning, scheduling and change related metrics/reports/status as needed

  Basic Qualifications (Required Skills and Experience):

• Bachelor's in engineering degree or higher is required as a BASIC QUALIFICATION
• Minimum 8yrs to 11 Years or more years' in Electrical/Electronic Engineering experience
• 5+ years of experience in project or program management
• Experience with analog/digital/power supply circuit designs and analysis

Preferred Qualifications:

• Around 8 to 11 Years of Experience in Hardware Testing and STE development.
• Extensive knowledge in design and Development of automated test equipment’s solutions for testing avionics LRU product lines.
• Experience in writing Test requirement Documents for various application at system and LRU level.
• Experience in analyzes, validate and translates test requirements into test System Designs and interface specifications.

Typical Education & Experience:

• Degree and typical experience in engineering classification: Bachelor's and 8 to 11 years' experience, Master's degree with 6-10 or more years' experience or PhD degree with experience. Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, Electrical Engineering experience. ABET is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
