The Role: MSSQL Developer

Position summary
Collaborate closely with small, cross-functional teams of developers, engineers, and stakeholders to build new data sets to power financial applications.
Design and implement overall development strategy.
Participate in the full development lifecycle, including estimation, development, and deployment.
Stay up to date on the latest development practices and strategies.
Research, evaluate, and implement tools and procedures that provide strategic improvements to our products and process.
Take direction, go beyond what is asked, and constantly challenge yourself.
Love what you do, as this position will require a strong sense of ownership. Confidence in your work is a must.
Duties & accountabilities
6-10 years of development for relational database applications.
Strong experience with MSSQL databases.
Experience with MSSQL objects like tables, stored procedure, views etc.
Well versed in writing performant effective code and ability to understand execution plans.
Good understanding of performance tuning and code optimization of existing code.
Ability to write unit tests will be added advantage.
Good knowledge of code versioning tools, such as GIT.
Ability to work independently or in a team-oriented environment.
Strong troubleshooting skills
Experience working in an Agile Development environment.
Team player with strong analytical, problem solving, debugging, and troubleshooting skills.
Highly productive, and perpetually aware of the next thing to work on
