Job Summary :
Firmware Quality engineer will be responsible for understanding embedded product requirements, writing test plans for unit level to system level testing, automate test cases and execute test plans to validate functional & regulatory performance of embedded systems and application software, with maximum test coverage.
Defines detailed test plans, specifications, test cases, and test data sets that validate functional performance, product specifications, regulatory requirements.
Designs and implements robust, scalable, high quality Test Automation Suites within a Continuous Integration and Continuous Testing environment to improve quality and productivity of functional, regression, and system tests.
- Coordinate and collaborate with resources to execute the project test plans
- Analyze test results, and identify, document, and report root causes for test failures by working with the development team and the defect tracking system.
- Drive continuous improvement through development and implementation of best practices and processes
- Gain knowledge and experience in the design and application of Residential Product Portfolio (Circuit Breakers and Wiring Devices), including Compliance Reuquirements
- Gain knowledge and experience of C, C# or equivalent Scripting languages and test automation systems
- Gain hands-on testing, debugging and documentation experience
- Active communication with the cross functional team to ensure schedule, cost and performance alignment.
Qualifications:
- B.E
- 3-6 Years of experience in testing of embedded systems and application software
Skills:
- Experience with creating and defining test plans and test cases for embedded systems
- Experience with testing, troubleshooting, validating embedded systems.
- Experience working in an Agile SCRUM development lifecycle and utilization of software development tools like JIRA, Bitbucket, Github etc.
- Handson Experience of automation frameworks such as Unity, Python etc
- Communicates technical concepts and information to internal staff/peers and stakeholders; strong verbal, documentation, and interpersonal communication skills required.
