Role : Editorial Assistant/Proofreader
Job location : Goregaon (West), Mumbai
Department : Editorial

Shift time: Rotational Day-shift (Any 9 hours)

Working days: Rotational week-off

Basic Requirements:

• Graduate degree
• Good understanding and awareness of the English language
• Basic Word formatting skills
• Effective writing and communication skills
• Extreme attention to detail and readiness to learn constantly
• Effective time management and multitasking skills
• Dedicated client focus

Job Description:

• Proofread manuscripts to ensure an error-free output to meet international standards of publication.
• Format and finalize (sanity check) manuscripts to ensure a clean output in order to meet author requirements and expectations.
• Proofreading does not merely involve casting a glance over what you have written. Errors can be difficult to spot, so it is essential to read the text word by word to ensure that you don’t miss anything. As it involves correcting small errors (some of which nonetheless can have a major impact), it does not require major rewriting.
• Our objective is to get an error-free publication to meet international standards of publication and cater to the defined target audience: the author(s), the publisher, and the readers.
