Director, Quant Analytics Technology

The role leads a multi-level organization of software developers, quality engineers, DevOps engineers and associated staff to define, develop and support the Quant Analytics database distribution platforms, both Cloud-based and on-premise.
Role Responsibilities & Key Accountabilities:

• Develops knowledge and understanding of technologies in LSEG and utilises these in own scope of work, with colleagues as well as to create linkages
• Oversees the development of efficient software architectures to implement high quality, resilience solutions
• Builds and leads teams to develop efficient, secure high quality code in a timely and cost effective manner
• Leads the development and execution of a strategy for software development, ensuring alignment with broader group strategy
• Reviews technologies and capabilities available in the market generally as well as for specific uses
• Oversees a team/s, promoting and role modelling an inclusive and open culture, holding accountability for mentoring, retention and performance management of senior members of the team, leading others through People Leaders if required
• Develops and defines learning and development plans for teams and individuals
• Demonstrates depth of knowledge and expertise in software development and is regarded as the subject matter expert in their domain. Develops knowledge of other domains to understand linkages and dependencies.
• Demonstrates in-depth knowledge of how the technology / domain strategy relates to and impacts own and others' work, holding responsibility for the implementation of strategy and culture within teams. Assists in defining the strategy
• Understands LSEG's position in the global market and keeps LSEG's commerciality in mind when creating technology solutions
• Oversees the delivery of major projects critical to LSEG's success, providing support and guidance to team members if needed
• Develops and enhances positive strong relationships with senior internal / external stakeholders across LSEG and externally to expand network, promoting collaboration between and within teams. Communicates complex information clearly to all audiences and may speak at external events.
