Director, Financial Content Operations - Technology

• Strategy: Develop the Content Operations strategy for technology infrastructure transformation, migration and governance. Develop an internal tools strategy to simplify and reduce our risk exposure
• Transformation: Transform the way that Content Operations does its work through using new technologies (Generative AI) and moving 32 databases from on prem to Azure cloud environments.
• Change: Lead technology transformation projects across Financial Content Operations. Sizing and planning work to assist with legacy shutdown and upgrades and movement to strategic infrastructure.
• Culture: Drive a culture of technology innovation and safe technical governance across Financial Content Operations. Ensuring appropriate Citizen development technology environments exist and that right technology skills are being brought into Financial Content Operations team.
• Lead Collaborators: Partner with LSEG Technology leadership and Microsoft leadership to develop and implement strategies to make operational processes more effective (improved efficiency, quality, timeliness and capacity for growth at low marginal cost). Ensure plans are in line with D&A proposition business goals working with their leadership. Work with external software and technology vendors to understand potential ‘buy vs build’ solutions.
• Thought Leadership: Bring in developments in new technology and AI that could provide solutions to make operations more effective. Attend external events and develop external technology relationships. Ensure we are the leaders with vision in content operation technology vs our competitors
• Productivity: Develop and implement strategies to drive automation across Financial Content Operations
• Technology Governance: Ensure that strict governance practices for building new automations and other technology capabilities are designed and maintained (including citizen developed apps). Maintain the balance between encouraging innovation and managing risk.
• Builds solutions: Partnering with technology to create enterprise extraction, sourcing, quality/rules engines, workflows and DBOR connectivity.
• Leads centralized data functions for sourcing and extraction and tasked with increased cetralisation where is drives quality, timeliness and efficiency overall.
• Strategy: Develop the financial Content Operations strategy for technology infrastructure transformation, migration, and governance.
• Develop robust data gathering systems capable of handling large volumes of data from various sources including API’s , databases, web scrapping and natural language processing from diverse sources.
• Leads centralized data functions for sourcing and extraction and tasked with increased centralisation where is drives quality, timeliness, and efficiency overall.
• Design and implement automation for data extraction, transformation to ensure smooth and efficient processing of text and other data types, integrating large language models and AI for data analysis.
• Partnering with technology to create enterprise extraction, sourcing, quality/rules engines, workflows and DBOR connectivity. Build data driven solutions that enable last mile data collection.
• Synthesize current business intelligence or trend data to support recommendations for action.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to data pipelines, ensuring minimal downtime and maximum data integrity.
• Thought Leadership: Bring in developments in new technology and AI that could provide solutions to make operations more effective.
