Form of workPosition : Data ScientistClient : Affine (1+year extendable - Contractual Role)Experience : 3 to 5 yearsLocation : HosurMode : OnsiteKey Responsibilities :Data Analysis :- Utilize Python and SQL to extract, clean, and analyze large datasets.- Conduct exploratory data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and key insights.Statistical Modeling :- Develop and implement statistical models for predictive analytics, customer segmentation, and sales forecasting.- Apply Machine Learning techniques to solve business problems in the retail and FMCG domains.Retail and FMCG Expertise :- Leverage 2-5 years of experience in retail and FMCG to provide industry-specific insights.- Analyze market trends, consumer behavior, and competitor activities.Collaboration :- Work closely with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and deliver data-driven solutions.- Communicate findings effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.Data Visualization :- Create clear and compelling visualizations to present insights using tools such as Tableau or Power BI.Qualifications :- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, or related field.- 3 to 5 years of experience in a data science or analytics role, preferably in the retail or FMCG industry.- Proficiency in Python programming and SQL for data extraction, manipulation, and analysis.- Experience with statistical modeling techniques and machine learning algorithms.- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to derive actionable insights from complex datasets.- Experience in data visualization using tools like Tableau or Power BI.- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and communicate findings to stakeholders at all levels.Additional Information :- This is a contractual role with the possibility of extension based on performance and project requirements.- The position is onsite at the client's location in Hosur.
